Thatcham Classics on the Green

Its been a bit quiet on the show front for us, almost two months has passed since the last event at the Retro Rides Gathering, but with Lily now a whole two weeks old and Kim feeling up for it, we embarked on a short cruise to the Classic & Sportscar show at Dunstan Green in Thatcham. Leaving later than in previous years and with more cargo on board we headed down the A4 and rolled onto the field at 11am. The place was already rammed with cars and bikes so we parked up near the back, popped the pram up and set off.

Somebody just wasn’t interested in the cars!

With Kim getting a little weary she made her way back to the Camper for a sit down, while we carried on round.

After a quick walk into the town for some lunch we did a last sweep of the field to take in the late comers.

And then it was home, tired after our first proper trip out, but enjoying every minute, roll on 2011 and a few more shows for the family to go to.

A special Bracknell meet

At just a week old, Lily Iris Evelyn Prior made her first VW meet appearance. With an overcast day and Brighton Breeze the day before it was very thin on the ground, but luckily Uncle Pete was on hand to provide shelter.

The rest of the meet was an all Passat affair and The JTBs a first cuddle as well.

Not wanting to be outdone, Lily brought her own VW along to the meet as well!
