Another year, another year older. Having unwrapped presents and cards. And with the weather all warm with blue skies, we decided to head out for a bit. At the River & Rowing museum in Henley there is a temporary exhibition of Frazer Nash cars. The archive is based in the town and they had moved a pair of cars and some photos and trophies to one of the galleries on site. First up was a trip down memory lane in the Wind in the Willows section. Lily was entranced by the four riverside friends of Mole, Rat, Toad and Badger.
With the story told and Toad Hall safe again, we headed across to the second gallery. Inside were a pair of AFN cars. The first a 1925 GN Cyclecar
The other a BRG 1951 Le Mans Replica as driven by Stirling Moss when he won the Isle of Mann Empire Trophy.
Around the walls a selection of old press photos and clippings from the companies past and a cabinet of silverware. All in all a small but very interesting exhibiton.
Steve.
