What a difference a month makes. Having picked up Roobarb are 1974 Beetle from his resting place for the last two months on my parents drive while we moved, a quick clean and tank full of unleaded saw us convoy in old and new to Bracknell once more, hoping for a good turn out to while away the hours break we were having in the painting/unpacking routine I was pleasantly surprised to see a couple of Dubs already parked up.
In between nattering and munching on a pasty I bolted the new inertia seatbelts in place meaning that Kim can now safely drive or passenger. More and more club members turned up, proving that a little bit of advertising on FB and the forum works.
There was a “baby theme” to the afternoon, with Dal and Mim introducing two week old Zane to the delights of Volkswagens in their shiny T5
And Georgie and Malcs bringing little Molly along too, with our “speedybump” adding to the ever growing LTV kids club. The former Prosign split van made its debut at SHP in new hands.
And The Loadeds made a welcome return too.
There was a wide variety of Dubs parked up in the carpark and small groups stood around for several hours.
Until finally it was time to head for home, a little bit of “musical Dubs” and our fleet was together again, Roobarb safely tucked up in his wood laminate floored garage.
A return to the good old days for SHP? Who knows, but it filled a sunny afternoon nicely. The rest of the photos are here
Steve.

Yes, Good to see a more normal turn-out for the event. Fingers crossed it finally makes a return back into the LTV calender of "must go to events"
