On a flyering mission for LTV

With LTVs show, Dubs at the Park a few days away we felt some last minute promotion was in order, so Stu and I set off in the mighty Passat for a hundred mile tour of a couple of local(ish) VW meets. First up was a trip out to Guildford for the monthly water-cooled No Rice meet

Held at the Ladymead retail park what started quietly with a handful of MK2 Golfs soon grew to a massive 50+ Golfs, Passats, Polos and New Beetles. We set about advertising the show with lots of interest from the owners.

Having spent over an hour flyering, the cars coming in thinned out a bit and we made our escape, hot footing it 40 miles North to Hurley and the Royal County VW meet http://www.rcvwc.co.uk/ . It was a much smaller affair, but we grabbed a pint and nattered to the members, hopefully gathering a few more punters and even a couple of autojumblers too.

This stunning Chesil Speedster was there as well, we chatted to the owner for ages, the tale of how this came to be is a long and winding one, but very interesting.

With a pile of flyers left behind we clambered aboard the Passat once more and with a stop off in Bracknell before home and bed, a very productive evening, roll on Sunday.

The rest of the photos from the two meets can be found here & here.

Steve.
